車載網路可分為車對車、車對人、車對路邊設施…，也因此應用許多protocol。

ziggbee：因其特性，所以拿來傳較小之data，如輪胎的胎壓…

Bluetooth：主要是用於車內的多媒體影陰戶、 互相間的傳輸

WAVE全名：Wireless Acess in Vehicular Environments。

DSRC全名：Dedicated Short Range Communications

IEEE802.11P

3者都是車載網路相關之protocol。

WAVE可以說是IEEE1609（1609.1：resource manager 、1609.2：security services for applications and management messages、1609.3：networking services、1609.4：Multi-channel Operation），所以可以看出WAVE是偏向於應用，也就是大約network layer以上。而其下層則由IEEE802.11p支援

•MIB: Management information base
•WME: WAVE management entity
•WME-RM: WME remote management service
•WME-RMr: WME-RM for Remote Manager devices
•WME-RMd: WME-RM for Remotely Managed devices
•WME-RM-ID: WME remote management identity service
